What are calories you already know. They are a measure of energy that food contain. This energy can be used for maintaining the life of cells, daily activities, sports, digesting food or may be stored when they meet certain conditions, among which the most important is that the energy from food to be in an amount greater than the energy which the body consumes or eliminates (by heat, for example).

The substances that bring “calories” to our body are fat (9 kilocalories per gram), alcohol and polyols (7 kilocalories per gram), carbohydrates (4 kilocalories per gram) and protein (4 kilocalories per gram).
To measure the energy brought by proteins is not relevant because they represent the last source of calories for the the body. The body first burns alcohol then carbohydrates then fat and protein(amino acids) is the last.

The body uses this sources of energy(metabolism) in the presence of other substances:vitamins, minerals, enzymes, etc. The body can produce some of these “helpful” substances but not all and not easy.

Natural foods contain vitamins, minerals and some of these enzymes.
If they are processed, we receive only the energy, and not the “help” for “processing”.
To compensate our bodies make an effort. Effort that is seen the reason for modern human disease, premature aging, various digestive disorders or of other nature.
Examples of processed food: flour and foods that contain sugar, canned products pasteurized at high temperatures, industrial obtained dairy (milk powder for example), fried nuts and seeds.

So eating natural foods rich in micronutrients (vitamins, minerals, enzymes) can prevent disease and make life longer.

What are antibiotics?
Chemicals produced by microorganisms or artificialy, which inhibit the development of other microorganisms (usually bacteria) or even kills them.

How do they work?
Antibiotics interfere with the metabolism of the target bacteria and destroys it, so the bacteria can no longer feed, reproduce or maintain structural integrity.

What is resistance to antibiotics?
Because the bacteria are in large number, when they multiply, mutations occur (changing the genetic information) resulting in a different structure and metabolism, so that antibiotics can no longer attack them.
So the target bacteria becomes resistant, not the man who takes antibiotics.
In time, bacteria resistant to many types of antibiotics have appeared, bacteria that when gets in the human body produces serious diseases and even death.

When and how to use antibiotics?
Antibiotics are not effective against viruses and fungi. Therefore the decision to take antibiotics belong to your doctor. The common cold is caused by viruses, there for the use of antibiotics in this situations is not necessary for most of the people.
Although many people decide to take antibiotics by themselves , they should only be recommended by a doctor, generally following a antibiogram (a test to see if and how effective is a given antibiotic against a bacteria that causes problems).
Also, the treatment should be followed until the end, not only to the disappearance of symptoms.

Side effects
Besides the direct side effects on our body(upset stomach, diarrhea, may impair the function of the kidneys, liver and other organs),there is another major side effect : antibiotics kill bacteria with which our body is in a symbiosis. They destroy the intestinal flora (which has important roles in digestion and protection against various toxins) and even the vaginal flora for women, leaving place for a fungus, candida albicans, most of the time.
If in the case of a bacterial infection the body is able to fight on his own, with candida albicans the fight is long and very difficult to win by the human body.

It’s relatively a new disease. The intestine is like a very fine sieve.Because of the chemicals, antibiotics(infection with the yeast Candida albicans),and mistakes in your diet, this sieve breaks in some places leaving areas were elements that naturally were eliminated or digested before being absorbed, pass in the blood.

What is actually the problem?
The problem is that the molecules that pass in the blood can be in fact toxic chemicals, microorganisms, hormones, proteins with allergenic potential .They make hard life for your liver(and other organs),your hormonal and immune system .It is suspected to be a factor in asthma, lupus, chronic fatigue syndrome, abdominal pain, degenerative and autoimmune disease, vitiligo, diabetes, various food allergies and intolerance.

What to do?
Avoiding certain foods/substances: sweet milk, antibiotics, alcohol, coffee, contraception pills, sweets, bread and pasta products, processed food.

Foods that help to “repair”: ginger, apple vinegar, onion, essential fat, garlic, yogurt.
Improving the process of digestion by chewing well your food, small meals and use of digestive enzymes are also beneficial.

We consume eggs since our beginning.Although in general we consume only the inside, the shell is also edible. The most popular are the chicken eggs, but we can find even ostrich eggs in markets.

How good are eggs?
Among the benefits of consumption of eggs (especially raw yolk) include: prevention of cataract, the proper functioning of the nervous system, increasing immunity (by natural content of vitamin D), reduce inflammation and allergies, breast cancer prevention for women, hair and nail health, improves memory, the proper functioning of the liver (by the content of choline), the prevention of oxidative stress, detoxification of heavy metals (mercury).
All these nutrients are in the the yolk. The egg-white, until now was considered “the good part” of the egg but it’s only protein accompanied by a toxin, avidin. When avidin is ingested,it binds to vitamin h(biotin) and this complex of avidin-biotin can’t be absorbed by the body.Avidin is inactivated by heat,so avoid raw egg-whites.Consumed in the morning(especially boiled),eggs help control your appetite and thus, your weight loss.
It is important that the eggs you eat to be fecundated. Thus we make sure that all the nutrients have been activated. The embryo extract (derived from fertilize eggs) has miraculous effects on health.Another element in the equation is the food of the chickens: Search for country eggs, from chickens raised in semi-freedom, with natural food (especially seeds). The risk of disease with salmonella today is minimal due to stringent regulations in the food industry.
There is also the risk of allergy to eggs, in which case you will need to make sure that you take the nutrients needed by combining other sources of food. Choline is also found in spinach, in seeds, butter, nuts, lentils.

How many we can eat?
The main concern has been brought in the ’80s for the content of cholesterol. Meanwhile, this theory was outdated and is considered safe (even good for the cholesterol) the consumption of 6 eggs per week. Given the high fat content, the consumption of carbohydrates with high glicemic index (sugar, potatoes, bread, etc..) should be kept to a minimum, At least at the same meal. For people who do sport egg consumption can be higher. For those who are on a low-carb diet the consumption can get even higher .Of course, contraindications and medical advice, as in any diet/nutrition program, should be in your attention.

How to prepare them?
Eggs are included in various kinds of food, but most comfortable for us is to boil them (yolk is preferred to remain liquid) or fry them in fat (butter, oil). The secret is that the frying process will be made at a low temperature without burning the egg-white, which should keep their white color. It’s simple: use a large amount of oil (reaches high temperatures harder), keep the fire to a minimum and move the vessel off the fire when the temperature increases too much (the egg-white begins to burn). At first you can use a kitchen thermometer. Frying in direct contact with metal (even if it’s protected by a layer of Teflon) inevitably leads to burning the egg and production of toxic substances.

The first question that you get about nuts when you recommend them is :”but nuts don’t make you fat?”.No.Large quantities of food and inappropriate combining is what makes you fat.Sweets make you fat, fried potatoes make you fat, white bread makes you fat, juices with sugar makes you fat.Nuts, seeds contain essential nutrients(healthy fats, protein),fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants.

Benefits:

Are useful in many diets, from the ketogenic and low-carb diet to the Mediterranean and South-Beach diet.More and more international associations, universities and research institutes are publishing recommendations and studies that nuts and seeds are recognized as extremely beneficial food to your health: reduces risk of cardiovascular diseases, reduce cholesterol, adjust intestinal transit, preventing the prostate enlarging (especially pumpkin seeds), promotes the health of the skin and joints and even quotes the antidepressant effects (due to its high omega 3 fatty acids – flax seeds, for example).Large quantity of fat and fiber makes the satiety to be higher than for other “snacks”. Do not get scared by the large number of calories per 100 grams. Consumption has more advantages especially for vegetarians, whose caloric intake comes usually from food containing high carbohydrate and low fat or protein.

What to eat?
All are good, with the condition to be raw. The variety is great: walnuts, almonds, caju, Brazil nuts, seeds, the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, etc. Peanuts contain a toxin and it is good to avoid.Buy once a month and make your own mixes. You can keep them home ,ore in little plastic bags for the road.Large quantities should be kept in the refrigerator. The roasted versions have some disadvantages:many enzymes and vitamins are destroyed and the fats are oxidised(increases the quantity of cancerous substances). The addition of salt puts an unnecessary stress on the kidneys and can lead to water retention and hypertension.By roasting them, the carbohydrates gain a higher glycemic index, increasing the risk of being depohttp://www.nuthealth.org/images/nut_splash.jpgsited in the form of fat.

How much?
A handful contains 50-70g, enough for a snack, if they are well chewed.Chewing is very important as I said in this post Digestion starts in the mouth. On one hand the process of digestion (even the fat) begins in the mouth under the action of enzymes in saliva. This will cause the stress on the liver and digestive system, in general,to be less. On the other hand, eating slowly, the state of satiety will be perceived by the brain after you eat fewer calories, compared to the situation when eating quickly.Especially at the beginning, if you followed in the past diets without fats, the amount should be minimal, increasing slightly, in time, as you start to tolerate them tolerate.

When?
Because they are easily transported, stored, eaten … are excellent when you can have a normal meal: at work, when you’re in traffic. They stay well preserved, even at room temperature, if are kept away from light and moisture.

With what to combine them?
As I said, it is preferred to be eaten raw separate from other foods, but may be associated with various kinds of cheese or included in various kinds of food.

Most frequent causes of injuries:

1.Dehydration, malnutrition, lack of rest. Many accidents occur on a background of dehydration. Tendons, ligaments, muscles … all are rigid tissue and exercises may hurt instead of training them.

Those who are on a fat loss diet tend to eat to little, rarely use supplemental vitamins and minerals(especially magnesium). The body doesn’t consume only the layer of fat but also muscles and connective tissue. Thus,on a fat loss diet the injuries are at home.

2.Wrong training. The form of execution and dangerous exercises. Learning the execution of an exercise may need several weeks or months.Stabilizer muscles don’t offer an aesthetic advantage and the exercises used to train them(see Pilates)are considered boring. However … they are the foundation on which you can work safely in the future. Some exercises popularized by bodybuilders are not appropriate.Beginners see through magazines dangerous versions of exercises, like shoulder press and push ups done at the neck. They put the shoulder joint in a very unnatural position and you can injure yourself very easily.Another exercise of major risk for the joints is lifting shoulders for trapezius muscle made with hundreds of kilograms.

3.Inappropriate sports. For teenagers and young people to play a football or basketball game is a pleasure…but if your time on the pitch is fading away and you have 10-20 kilograms of extra fat on you,you should take it easily and carefully select game partners….some would put too much passion and you can wake up in the hospital with wounds, rupture of muscles or tendons, and even fractures. When winter comes and you go skiing ore snowboarding you should be in a good health situation. Martial arts are also an inexhaustible source of accidents.

4. Intensity too high in relation to the possibilities.Even if in the past you were the strongest in the gym ore you could dribble the whole pitch, try to look at the reality: your body is no longer what it was and will have to gradually increase the intensity and complexity of training.

5.The use of steroids and supplements to increase performance. These substances can give you the feel like you can do more, they can increase muscle strength and efficiency of the nervous system but they’ll not strengthen your joints.Even weight loss supplements containing high doses of caffeine can lead to injuries.

Treatment:
The first sign is pain. If it hurts, stop training immediately.Even if anti-inflammatories can help you on the moment, they hide the problem and the worst thing that you can do is to continue training.Ideal is to go to the doctor to find out exactly what happened and to take the necessary measures for recovery before returning to training. In general, a serious accident will remind you for a long time that you abused your body. Symptoms can disappear, but may return in force if you resume old habits.

Prevention:First you have to match your training/sport that you do with your possibilities, not with dreams and wishes. You’ll not get any immunity if you keep doing the wrong things. An injury can keep you off the gym/pitch for months, years or even forever. It is therefore important to adopt the strategy of the turtle and not the one of the rabbit.

A very important aspect of the digestion that many people ignore is that it starts in the mouth. The digestion of carbohydrates and even fats starts in the mouth. It’s very important to chew well your food. This combined with the administration of digestive enzymes(I will have a post about them in the future)improves your digestion(reducing the work of the stomach, intestine, liver, pancreas and even of the heart) and keeps you away from many diseases.

We got to eat in the strangest places. We can make an ideea of a person’s diet a person just looking at the debris left in the keypad. We got to eat while we work, walk, talk, and drive. In this way we break the connection between the brain and the body which leads to many diseases and, finally, the modern human diseases.

Benefits of thick chewing your food :

1.Improved digestion and prevention of problems such as bloating, constipation, stomach burns, irritable colon syndrome and even cancer.

2.Enzymes in saliva can destroy bacteria or inactivate certain toxins. Also, these enzymes can destroy hormones and antibiotics before having a chance to get in your blood.

3.Can be used as a method of reducing the stress (no chewing gum, which is basically composed only of Chemicals)

4.Maintain the health of your teeth and gums in the long term.

Another thing that you should be aware of is that if you don’t chew well foods like pasta, patatoes, rice and especially foods high in starches they will start to fermentate in your body, giving you a abdominal distension and alcohol delivered straight in your liver.
